Kandaga: Journal of Language and Educational Research is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research articles, literature reviews, and theoretical studies in the fields of language, linguistics, literature, and education. Focus and Scope

Kandaga: Journal of Language and Educational Research focuses on the study of language, linguistics, literature, and educational research. The journal publishes original research and scholarly contributions related to theoretical and applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, discourse analysis, pragmatics, language documentation, and language preservation. It also welcomes studies on literary criticism, comparative literature, folklore, cultural studies, and the role of literature in society and education.

In the field of education, the journal covers language education, curriculum and instruction, literacy studies, educational assessment and evaluation, teacher professional development, educational policy, inclusive education, and innovative teaching methodologies. The journal also encourages research on digital learning, educational technology, artificial intelligence in education, online learning environments, and other emerging issues that contribute to the enhancement of educational theory and practice. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Kandaga: Journal of Language and Educational Research undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review procedure. This policy is intended to ensure objectivity, fairness, and academic integrity in the evaluation of submitted manuscripts.

Upon submission, each manuscript is first assessed by the Editorial Team to determine its suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, adherence to author guidelines, originality, and overall academic quality. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who possess expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject area.

Reviewers are requested to evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:

Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope;
Originality and significance of the research;
Clarity of research objectives and questions;
Appropriateness of the methodology and analytical approach;
Quality and accuracy of data analysis and interpretation;
Contribution to the advancement of language, literature, and educational studies;
Organization, coherence, and academic writing quality;
Adequacy and currency of references;
Ethical standards and research integrity.

Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor may issue one of the following decisions:

Accept without revision;
Accept with minor revisions;
Accept with major revisions;
Reject and encourage resubmission;
Reject.

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ comments and submit a detailed response to each recommendation. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

The average time required for the peer-review process is approximately 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability, the complexity of the manuscript, and the timeliness of revisions submitted by the authors.

Reviewer Selection and Recruitment

Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, publication record, research expertise, and experience in the relevant field. The journal maintains a diverse reviewer database consisting of scholars, researchers, and academics from national and international institutions. To ensure the quality and impartiality of the review process, reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest and agree to maintain the confidentiality of all manuscripts under review.

Kandaga: Journal of Language and Educational Research provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge and promotes the advancement of scholarship in language, literature, linguistics, and education.

All articles published in this journal are freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication without subscription charges or registration requirements. Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and use the full texts of articles for lawful purposes without requesting prior permission from the publisher or the authors, provided that proper attribution is given to the original work.
